WELCOME TO ETHIOPIAN COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL CENTER IN OAKLAND
Founded in 2001 at the request of concerned Ethiopians and Ethiopian Americans of the Bay Area, ECCC is widely regarded as the only Northern Bay Area organization that advocates on the issues affecting the Ethiopian community in Oakland, San Francisco and surrounding cities. ECCC’s services are tailored to meet the varying needs of Ethiopians as they transition to the way of life here in United States.

It is estimated more than 20,000 Ethiopian immigrants live in the Bay Area making valuable contribution to the life and economy of Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco counties.

In the past few years, a great number of Ethiopians have legally migrated from Ethiopia to the Bay Area. It has come to our attention, that the assimilation of new comers has not been as expected and advertised. To this end, ECCC provides the necessary assistance to make the transition less stressful.

We continue to partner with private industries as wells as local, state and federal government, to help advance the community development and empowerment by providing a safe educational, recreational, social and cultural heaven for youth, adults and seniors.
